The History of Hutchins™
Hutchins & Hutchins™, is a small woman-owned, 21,000 square foot cleanroom supply facility cleanroom equipment and supply company, located in Waynesboro Virginia. We are a major distributor of products for critical environments, which facilitates the restoration and saving of lives. For over three decades we have been distributing products throughout the pharmaceutical, food, biotechnology, medical and tissue bank industries. To fulfill all of your supply needs, our capable staff works with industry leaders, such as; Kimberly Clark, Texwipe, Veltek and Micronova to smaller firms specializing in cleanrooms and associated components.
In 1984, Ronald Hutchins started Hutchins & Hutchins™ For seventeen years he worked as a sales representative for Honeywell. In that time, he noticed his pharmaceutical clients discarded gloves and other apparel after only one use. Witnessing the quick turn over rate and high demand of product, he then began to develop his idea of a cleanroom supply source. Ultimately, he left Honeywell and along with his wife, founded Hutchins & Hutchins™, Your Cleanroom Supplier.
He made giant steps with his company, turning it from a basement room enterprise into a full-service 21,000 square foot cleanroom supply facility. He built from the ground up and over the years, due to his solid business principles, earned industry-wide respect. In 1988, daughter Rebecca Wiseman joined him, to help further the expansion of his company and in 2000 found herself at the helm of Hutchins & Hutchins™. Wiseman says, "I can't imagine doing anything else!" As a Small, Woman-Owned Business, Wiseman attained certification from the Department of Minority Business Enterprise (DMBE) and also became an approved vendor for eVa.
The company has enjoyed steady growth and today, is alive and thriving. Our proficient team of twenty employees, maintains the business principles and visions of its founder, while continuing to expand the business all across the United States and internationally.
